Job Title: Youth Program Manager
Reports to: Associate Director of Southern Canada 
Location: City of Kawartha Lakes
Salary: $65,000 annually

Job Summary: 
As the Youth Program Manager at Ampere, in collaboration with the Associate Director of Southern Canada, you'll lead the strategy and execution of our Youth  Delivery Programs in alignment with our organizational goals. You'll ensure our programs meet the needs of Youth participants nationwide. Your responsibilities include overseeing the Youth program team, youth program delivery, and ensuring organizational deliverables are being met for reporting purposes and organizational goal alignment. The Youth Program Manager will drive program success and continuous improvement while working hand-in-hand with leadership. Additionally, you'll collaborate with the Associate Director of Delivery Operations to create resources for program execution and develop learner pathways for continuous skill development.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead the strategy of all Youth Delivery programming for the Southern Canada team
  • Lead the development of innovative, appropriate youth programs and services that promote STEAM skills, digital literacy, cultural preservation, and economic development in Canada.
  • Manage the Makerspace Lead, STEAM Educators and other roles as needed to ensure our Youth Programs are top quality
  • Support the City of Kawartha Lakes and Partner Makerspaces in becoming leaders in STEAM programming
  • Support the strategy and development of the Ampere STEAM School alongside the STEAM Educators, Makerspace Lead, and other peers and partners. 
  • Manage the Youth Team program budget and develop a program budget execution strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead the creation of resources to support the Delivery Team’s execution of youth programming including program plans, kits, LMS framework, etc.
  • Stay up to date with educational and youth trends to make informed recommendations on new program opportunities and target markets 
  • Source and attend relevant conferences and other community events as an ambassador for Ampere's youth programs 
  • Work with the Associate Director of Southern Canada to ensure program evaluation and deliverables are reviewed and assessed often
  • Analyze the qualitative feedback received regarding programming to support ongoing development
  • Work hand in hand with the Associate Director of Southern Canada to confirm organization needs are aligned with  programs being offered. 
  • Support Associate Director of Southern Canada in creating compelling cases so Ampere's youth programs receive funding support.
  • In collaboration with teams across the Delivery Division, develop Ampere's “learner pathways” that provide learners with resources and tools to pursue further learning while simultaneously seeking new opportunities for Ampere's lifecycle.
  • Develop and sustain long-term, strategic partnerships with key individuals and organizations across the City of Kawartha Lakes to support Ampere’s lifecycle work.
  • Catalogue existing partnerships, identify gaps in strategic partnership opportunities, develop and implement plans for filling gaps.
  • Network with local community initiatives to exchange information, through public speaking, attending conferences and symposiums, tabling events.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Attributes and Qualifications: 
Equal consideration will be given to non-academic skills and experiences of candidates.
  • Degree or diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent experience 
  • 3+ years experience in program management and people management
  • You have experience in seeking program participants insight and feedback, user journeys, and innovative programming
  • Familiar with a non-profit landscape, program funding and managing budgets  
  • Comfortable working with Google Suites, experience with Slack and Monday would be an asset 
  • Experience building and maintaining communities relationships, experience working with rural, remote or indigenous communities would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, using available resources to find answers to your questions
  • Capable of prioritizing projects and meeting deadlines
